AHA Online Learning

The following classes are currenly offered as Blended Learning Classes through the Lord Fairfax Community College, in accordance with the American Heart Association.

  • HeartSaver Total
    • HeartSaver courses are for anyone needing First Aid, CPR, and AED training for Adults, Children, and/or Infants.
  • BLS Provider
    • BLS Provider courses are for anyone needing a higher level CPR and AED course with multiple rescuer scenarios. This course DOES NOT cover First Aid.
  • Instructor Essentials as HeartSaver or BLS

To Become Certified-

Step 1 of certification for a Blended Learning Class is to register using our registration platform. (If you cannot find a session that works for you, please reach out to the Training Center Coordinator to request another time. It's most helpful to give day/time ranges that work for you to see if the TCC can accomodate This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

  • You will need to scroll through the calendar to find a date that works for you.
  • Within 24 hours of registration, you will receive the online eLearning materials to complete.

Step 2 is to email the certificate of completion to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Step 3 is to attend the in-person skills check.
After completing step 3, you will receive your eCard with your certificate, valid for 2 years, via email within 10 business days of the skills session (generally much faster). Please download the ecard and email it to yourself so you can easily find it if needed.
